Purpose of your role
This role is part of the Fund Accounting Team within Tunisia. The team is responsible for supporting the European Fund Accounting teams produce financial and regulatory reports including audited financial statements, produce tax related data and perform daily processes and controls to ensure the accounting records for the funds are accurate and meet regulatory and accounting standards.

Your key accountabilities

• Preparation and production of regulatory / statutory reports,
• Preparation of data for the financial statements under generally accepted accounting standards,
• Perform key daily / weekly / monthly processes to ensure the accounting records are accurate and up-to-date,
• Provide review capacity for the regulatory / statutory reporting and the daily / weekly / monthly processes.
• Provide technical support and training across the Fund Accounting team.
• Identification, analysis and escalation of exceptions in a timely manner,
• Review daily accounting data for input into the books and records of the funds that has not been automatically generated by the accounting platform,
• Produce management information for key stakeholders,
• Perform controls on the accruals in the accounting system and investigate and resolve discrepancies,

 Profil recherché

Your skills and experience
• A good working knowledge of the English language. Able to communicate effectively with colleagues and internal customers
• Bachelor / Master degree in Accountancy or equivalent
• Strong analytical and investigations skills with an enquiring mind
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify issues of potential risk
• Strong organisation and planning skills
• Good MS experience with emphasis on Excel
• Accurate and numerate
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Team player with collaborative attitude
• Willingness to work additional hours and bank holidays as the business dictates
• 2 to 3 years ‘experience in an accounting role or in Financial Services

Desirable skills
• Preferably Qualified accountant or qualified through experience
• Working knowledge of accounting systems
